Services: Research & Evaluation

Requirements Gathering

We interview corporate stakeholders and representative users to assess the needs of the product, review existing documentation and do competitive analyses of products against competing products.

Usability Testing

Lebsontech has facilitated hundreds of usability test sessions across the United States where we meet with representative users and ask them to try out websites or software applications. We usually conduct test sessions in person at a user research facility, at a conference, or in the field.

We give users a series of tasks and record what they can do successfully and what they have difficulty with. We then produce a detailed report of issues encountered, as well as associated recommendations based on usability best practices.

Heuristic Reviews

We conduct heuristic reviews for clients. We compare the site against usability standards and best practices with respect to the needs of the anticipated audience groups and produce a report, listing potential issues and providing associated recommendations.

Mobile Research

We offer a full suite of mobile research services, including initial requirements gathering, mobile heuristic reviews (using our test suite of devices) and mobile usability testing (on our devices or those of participants).

Accessibility / Section 508

Lebsontech is very proficient in accessibility laws and best practices and can conduct user testing with visually impaired users, as well as do heuristic reviews that include an accessibility component. Accessibility issues that are uncovered are often those that cannot be found by simply using automated tools.
